Objective
Halotech is a biotechnological company based on Madrid, which distribute products all over more than 50 countries.
They had very high quality in vitro diagnostic kits and a good logo, but the company needed an identity to compete with big international pharmaceutical corporations. The strategy was to create a packaging and develop all the brand identity from it.

I took that challenge as my Final Degree Project. I studied accuratly all the elements of the kits, the dimensions and shapes.
The objective was to create a sostenible packaging, optimizing the material to mynimum and develop kits which could be stocked easily.
The solution was to design a system of cube bases which can be print by hundreds and using a different interior structure and color surface, depending on the kit.
Nowadays, this packaging is stills relevant.
From that moment on I started to lead the marketing and design pieces for the company, including brochures, photography, products images or tutorial videos.

The first step to take in this project was to do a research about our product life cycle.

To study meticulously each element of the different kits, writing down dimensions and analyzing shapes.

By examining the scale and dimensions of the elements, I came to the next packaging solution: halotech could use just two boxes, one half the other, and all of their products would fit. This method optimizes price, storage space and material.

There are two base boxes and different color covers, depending on the product.
Each product has various laboratory pieces inside them, so I designed a customized rack for each kit.




The new packaging has helped halotech to give a personal identity to their products, make easier the tasks in laboratory, earn storage space and make the brand grow internationally.







In order to broadcast the kits and the laboratory I also helped to define the promotional video. I played the role of photography director.
To engage with distributors and clients and show them the new packaging, we developed a youtube channel. We create a series of videotutorials which help the laboratory technician to use the kit and also the pharmaceutical to understand it and improve their sales.
Halotech uses these videos not only as branded content for their social networks or mailing distributors, but also as a wake up call in international fairs they attend annually.
