Objective
Chanel Spain needed to develop an online platform that will allow trainings that cannot be held life because of the covid-19 situation and could be used in the future as an inspirational tool for the team.
They were looking for a interface that was aligned with their century-long legacy but at the same time, be disruptive so that Chanel Spain could set an example in the education branch for other countries.

Chanel Campus 5.0 was born based on their iconic fragance Chanel Nº5. The naming and graphic guidelines are inspired by the Chanel symbols. A simple but extremely careful design was created for the canvas platform, that fits perfectly with Chanel philosophy. We developed a series of videos called "Mujeres Maravillosas en la Historia" that engaged with the student-employee and would help them understand the content of the course.
The course is divided in 5 levels, each of them related to an approach of Chanel's culture.
Position played: UI/Graphic Designer and Art Director

Chanel Campus 5.0 was born basing on Chanel Nº5. It was a 5 levels training so we decided to develop the concept from there. Using shapes and proportions and always following the instructions of their very tight corporate identity manual.

Working with the oficial Chanel graphic guidelines, we selected 5 of their corporative colors, one for each level of the course according to the content of the course.

As a result, the user experience across the platform is intuitive and the student may find what needed easily, as the following images and video show.

Storytelling was really important in this project to lead the student across the different levels of the course, so, we developed a series of videos telling the story of two characters, Madame Jacqueline and Camile and a book: Mujeres Maravillosas en la Historia. These women will guide the story line and help the student to learn through Chanel history and anecdotes.
Canvas Instructure, the Moodle they chose to develop all the training, allows gamification for their courses, so we created the CocoCafé to be the centre of all the networking. CocoCafé image was designed basing on Grabielle's signature and the events invitations were inspired by the one that Chanel used to send to their guests, 90 years ago.
